AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bhardwaj has raised concerns over public anger against the Delhi government. Speaking at a press conference, he said that two days ago, a person upset with the government’s rules on stray dogs attacked Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Recently, the CM visited Gandhinagar Market with a large convoy, but local residents protested her presence.
Parents and Public Oppose BJP Ministers
Bhardwaj also highlighted that two days ago, BJP minister Ashish Sood held a meeting with parents of children studying in private schools in Janakpuri. Many parents openly opposed him, and in anger, the minister shouted at them, claiming that since he had arranged everything, he would speak and not listen to their concerns.
Assault Allegations Against BJP MLAs
Another incident cited by Bhardwaj involved BJP MLA Harish Khurana at Acharya Shri Bhikshu Hospital in Moti Nagar. The MLA allegedly misbehaved and had a scuffle with junior doctors and interns. Forty-two doctors filed written complaints, but the BJP Delhi government pressured the hospital administration to prevent FIR registration.
Delhi Citizens Angry With BJP Policies
Since BJP came to power in Delhi, Bhardwaj said, the government has caused widespread public inconvenience. Policies such as denying petrol to 10-year-old vehicles, demolishing slum homes, targeting small businesses, and dismissing 10,000 bus marshals have upset citizens. Even health workers in Mohalla Clinics face job cuts, and BJP MLAs allegedly assault hospital staff. Public protests against BJP leaders are increasing because of such actions. Bhardwaj urged CM Rekha Gupta to consider why Delhi citizens are so upset.
